Do mongoose pose a threat to pet rabbits and Guinea pigs?

If you had an outside hutch, would a mongoose try to break into to it to kill, then eat your rabbit or Guinea pig. Can a mongoose kill a rabbit? Can a mongoose kill a Guinea pig?
