What does my wife need to have to sponsor my green card?

been married to an american citizen nearly 3 years,with 2 kids,and can now apply for an unconditional green card,but my wife will have to sponsor me,what is the requirments she needs to sponsor me,can other family members of hers help?also would like to join the armed forces whe i receive my green card.
