Is teaching Monkeys to Pray Ethical Science?

Holding one's hands together and bowing one's head does not prayer make. I am almost thinking that last sentence contained a typo, and that it should have been "to grasp the concept of PAYING." That I would accept. But praying, that takes a greater sentience and mental capability.
