Aucacity computer programme - how do you do individual tracks?

I have downloaded Audacity to digitise some tapes. It works perfectly, I export from Audacity as a wav file and then burn it onto CD. The only problem is that the tape I have digitised is 1 single track on the CD. How can I divide the Audacity recording or the wav file into individual tracks, as they are on the tape? I'm pretty useless when it comes to computing and technical language, so pleeeease, use simple terms.. :-)
