Shaved my head, what should I do to make it look better?

So i just shaved my head today for fun and I think it looks totally awesome. So anyone have any good tips in caring for a bald head. Should i put lotion and oils on it to make it shiny. I've heard that it isn't safe and can damage your follicles, making your hair not able to grow back in the future.
